About Typing Test Game

Each day of the Typing Test represents one game in a season of 5 games. A new season is played out each week, beginning on Monday and ending on Friday.   Each day's game begins at 6:00 AM GMT / 1:00 AM EST and last 23.5 hours (you cannot play in the last half hour of the day).

Each day's game consists of 5 different keyboarding tests. Collectively they will challenge your typing skills in several different ways. Each test is approximately one minute long so the whole game should take around 5 minutes.

Your scores for each of the 5 tests are recorded.  At the end of the day, all these "raw" scores are analyzed and each player is assigned an overall score for the day based on how they perform relative to the rest of the players.  These scores are tallied from day to day to determine the season leaders, and eventually, the season winner. In order to make the playing field even, the content for each day's game is exactly the same for everyone who plays.  Additionally, you may only play the day's game one time and you may use only one account.

Periodically, the tasks comprising the game are changed. You can play games from previous seasons in the archives.

Basically, login each weekday, view your results from the previous game, and then play the new game. You get a challenging keyboard exercise, a fun break from work/study, and a chance to see you your typing skills stand up against others.
